The amount would cover 100% of all costs (studio, editing, mixing, mastering, photos, printing, advertising, artwork).
Just as Piazzolla managed to bring Argentine tango to worldwide fame on the classical stages, we see it as our mission to bring the music of our homeland - the Balkans - to the big stages.
For our first CD, we therefore set out to unite classical music and Balkan folklore with creative arrangements and original compositions.
For us, the 2nd Hungarian Rhapsody by Franz Liszt is the link between these musical worlds, and many of his works are characterised by these influences. Inspired by his fusion, we want to take this idea further.
Our own composition ‘Zora’ is based on one of the most beautiful Balkan melodies, with which we creatively elicit spherical sounds from our instruments and flow into orchestral waves of sound.
With the Romanian piece ‘Turceasca’ we give free rein to the Balkan temperament with wild rhythms. The CD is rounded off with harmonious Balkan classics such as ‘Jovano Jovanke’ or ‘Misirlou’.
Our music should inspire and enthuse people of all ages and backgrounds. We want to show that classical music doesn't have to be elitist, but is lively and full of energy. At our concerts, we even experience how Metallica fans and professors at music academies are equally fascinated by our music!
Releasing the CD allows us to make new contacts - be it with promoters, music labels or other artists. This helps us to expand our network and realise future projects.
By combining vibraphone, marimba, piano and over 40 percussion instruments, our CD creates an innovative sound world that brings a breath of fresh air to the classical music scene.
This is precisely why we are fully behind the project and have already invested a lot of time and money since October 2023, including for the recording, editing and the first mix of the pieces. You are helping us to complete this project!
The money will be used to finance the following things:
The mixing in particular is very time-consuming, as each track on the CD needs its own microphone and therefore its own mix. And it doesn't help that we have high quality standards :)
