A quiz app without bling that asks questions of relevance. Microlearning with plain graphics, but high quality content. Joint project!
TriviaPlus asks questions on socio-cultural topics, history, technology and science. It is not so important to choose the right answer out of three options. What counts is the question in connection with the - mostly - unexpected answer.
Insofar, TriviaPlus can be assigned to the areas "Quiz", "Edutainment", and Microlearning.
All answers have been carefully researched and are accompanied by an indication of the source. The reference is clickable, i.e. accessible via a link on the Internet. In contrast to other quizzes, the user is not left alone with the answer, but receives background information on the subject. TriviaPlus is not about answering correctly. It is about finding out the story behind the question / answer.
A prototype / mock of TriviaPlus can be viewed at www.triviaplus.net/prototyp . (Correct, no "e" at the end.) To get a realistic impression of the app, please open this link in the browser of your smartphone. The questions are sample questions which are not representative of the quality of the questions. In addition, the graphic in this mock is limited to plain functionality.
The goal is to jointly create a knowledge app that is intellectually challenging and fun. With this app, another small "window to the world" is to be opened.
The target group is people with smartphones, between the age of 15 and 100 years old, that are interested in unusual knowledge. Anyone who appreciates edutainment at a high level will be interested in downloading the TriviaPlus question sets.
TriviaPlus is a unique quiz: Almost all quiz apps currently published on the European market ask for banalities and / or mere facts. Sometimes there are "pearls" among the questions, but that's rare. What's missing is a quiz whose questions shed light on largely unknown facts and interrelationships.
Some people may know that the term "boycott" goes back to a person, more precisely to a man named Charles Cunningham Boycott. True - but according to TriviaPlus, this is where things start to get interesting. What exactly happened around 1870, in Ireland?
Besides the mere answer, TriviaPlus offers a detailed explanation, or story that goes beyond the answer. This is the "plus" in TriviaPlus.
A clickable link will lead to the source referred to, so that the player can research on his own. This is a new quiz concept.
TriviaPlus is also a joint project. Get involved and send me your question, so that we can create a sophisticated knowledge quiz, which does not yet exist in this form! For further information please go to https://triviaplus-e.webnode.com/join-us/
Once the fundraising goal is achieved, TriviaPlus will be trustfully given to Evorim GmbH in Kraichtal, Germany, who will design the app according to the specifications of project developer Martin Bartsch. Evorim has already designed the prototype of the app (www.triviaplus.net/prototyp).
Within the first financing stage, a basic version of the app will be created. It will initially include payment options for Android / Play Store and, as a second option, "advertising-financed".
- Payment option means that sets of 30 questions can be bought for a small fee - no advertising displayed.
- Advertising financed means that the user does not have to pay anything, but advertising is being displayed. The extent to which this will be sustainable must be proven in practice.
In a possible second financing stage further features are to be implemented, e.g. the option to order an occasional "Surprise Question"; a "Hall of Fame" in which the best players are listed; registration via Google and Facebook, etc. Also important: It is quite expensive to implement payment options in Apple's App Store. However, this would promote a good development of TriviaPlus.
Costs related to the development of the project are included in the sum mentioned.
All costs mentioned here will go into the TriviaPlus project. My living and office expenses and my working hours are not included and are my contribution to the financing.
What happens if the financing is not successful? Then you get your money back and I go cry a little.
The project "TriviaPlus" is in the start-up phase
