After producing my EP "Move On" in 2009 I will finally produce my first full-length album! With 10-12 originals and 1-2 covers I will go into the studio Milchkettenmusik in Hamburg and will also invite some great guest musicians to make the songs perfect. I have calculated total costs of approx. 4,000 € und would be thrilled if you'd support me with my project here on startnext!

What is this project all about?
During the last years I have written a heap of songs that I finally want to record for an album. And I want this album to be as beautiful as possible! Which means:
I'll go to a studio instead of trying to do home recording. I will let a great sound engineer do the mixing - I have already worked with him and know that he's going to get the best out of my recordings. I will let someone do the CD artwork who knows what he's doing instead of becoming desperate trying to handle Photoshop. I will have a CD with digipack incl. booklet produced so that I can include all my lyrics. In addition, I will invite some great guest musicians to the studio to get the most out of my songs.
The date for the studio is already fixed: at the end of June I will start recording, until then I'll be arranging and preproducing the songs. If everything works out as planned, the CD will be finished some time in September and be released on Oct. 17th.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The goal: to produce a great album which many people will enjoy!
For: everyone who values good, hand-made music!
Why would you support this project?
I myself have supported many small and big CD productions through crowdfunding, and I loved it not only to be the first to get the new album, but to be part of the production process and to be regularly informed about the status quo of the project, with reports, pictures, videos etc.
If you decide to be part of this, you can expect all this from me, too :-)!
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
The money I raise here will be completely used for the production of the CD! And that means, also every cent exceeding the crowdfunding goal of 3,000 €. When I have paid the studio, the CD artwork and the CD production and then there's STILL money left, I will order more CDs than the planned 500 pieces or use the money for promotion. I will certainly not go shopping clothes with your money ;-).
Who are the people behind the project?
I am a singer/songwriter - and fiddler with the Irish folk band Eamon's Daughter, fiddler and singer with the bluegrass band The High Road and I teach violin and different fiddle styles. Music is my life, or at least the biggest part of it! I have immense fun writing my own songs, and as quite a few people like these songs, I keep on doing it and now desperately want to record this album!

7/19/13 - Liebe Leute!Fast Halbzeit (wie bei FC St....
Liebe Leute!Fast Halbzeit (wie bei FC St. Pauli gegen 1860 München in diesem Moment) = Zeit für einen Zwischenstand! Ich war inzwischen im Studio, 95% der Aufnahmen sind fertig, nun fehlt noch ein kleiner Rest und natürlich das Abmischen. Während Matti, mein Ton-Ing., erstmal in den wohlverdienten Urlaub gegangen ist, bin ich weiterhin fleißig. Diese Woche haben wir die Fotos für's CD-Artwork geshootet und die Vorbereitungen für's CD Release Konzert laufen. Für dieses steht nun der Termin: Es wird am 16.10. im Downtown Blues Club stattfinden, und es wird ein ganz fetter Abend mit vielen Gastmusikern und Auftritten der Bands House On A Hill, The High Road und Eamon's Daughter.
