Trailhead's Walking-Song-Album

This album came to be out of my joy of walking. Down trails, up mountains, along rivers, and on caminos. Walking is meditative monotony for me. Just listening to the rhythm of my feet, I wrote lots of songs about walking over the years. Most of them on my 900km walk through Spain a couple years back. So, Spain features heavily in these songs. On the streets of Madrid („Walking round Madrid“), on the Camino de Santiago („Walking the Camino“), while aproaching Salamanca („Road to Salamanca“) or when arriving in Santiago de Compostela („City of the Saint“). „Volcano Ground“ is about letting go of security to feel alive, and „White Flag“ follows those leaving everything behind to scale mountains like Everest and was inspired by Reinhold Messner's "The crystal horizon". These songs turned out to be a record of my walks, hikes and journeys.

I count myself lucky to be working with a very international band of friends and collaborators to help me create a warm organic americana-folk sound for the songs. British producer Robbie Moore, polish singer Renata Morning, singer-songwriter Guido Kreutzmüller, drummer Dirk Morning, british bassist Paul B Keeves, polish guitarist Michal Golabek and singer songwriter Mathew James White from New Zealand, who is my duet partner on a new recording of „Road to Salamanca“.

So far I have financed the production myself. Now I could need your support to manufacture the CDs, incl. a beautiful booklet with photos of places where I wrote the songs, all lyrics and credits. It will also contain your name und photo if you chose the "Executive Producer" reward.

The goal is to finish the album, manufacture a product that you can hold in your hands and that can live in your home and to promote it so it can make its way into the world.
