The final phase of the album requires this minimum amount.
These are stories and states of mind I've documented as songs and orchestral pieces. They are a kind of timeless capsule that holds experiences and emotions I've gone through.
I was told that music is a luxury, but for me, it is a necessity, and I've been longing for this chance to make a high-quality music production for a long time. As a migrant woman composing and producing her own work, there have been many challenges, but after moving to Berlin in 2016, I finally found a wonderful team and the necessary infrastructure to support me in realising my vision. Some of these musicians have also been with me along the years, performing these songs to diverse audiences in theatres, outdoor festivals, taverns, emergency shelters and plain ol' clubs.
The music was recorded with utmost care and perfect acoustics by our sound engineer, Mr. Trawöger, who will also lend his sharp ears to the mix. Soon, it is set to be mastered and then printed to CD for posterity!
My team and I want to finish production and release an album that will reach people of different backgrounds and ages, whose love for music with dynamic highs and lows connects them.
With this release, I will be able to move on to the next goal, which is to perform these songs to audiences and connect people from different walks of life in one place.
This is a sonically unique album, because of the special meeting of cultures from Arabic, impressionist-classical, pop, Turkish and Brazilian music. I am an independent artist with many hearts (one for each cultural identity) and when I perform, I try to do my part in bridging very different cultures. I think it's very important for us to connect to each other on a human and artistic level at live concerts.
By supporting this project, you will directly be doing something for cultural diversity and equity.
The money goes towards finishing the album mix, mastering and CD print with artwork.
