GUTE LEUTE is the first free english language magazine in Hamburg. It answers the need for a platform that accentuates the city's rich cultural diversity. By illustrating inspiring stories behind Hamburg's citizens with photography an text, GUTE LEUTE unites internationals and locals and contributes to a friendlier city.
The readership of this magazine has an international mind type, speaks or understand English and wants to hear from new thing happening in the city. These people are also curious and might be looking for something that inspires them.
GUTE LEUTE has the mission of strengthening the sense of community among Hamburgers. We want to bring the international and local communities closer. We want to inspire, encourage and activate people. It is all about human to human relationships. It is about what is happening in our city, in Hamburg.
We just want to offer an useful and alternative platform to the city of Hamburg and its inhabitants. GUTE LEUTE is for free and it is going to be financed thanks to advertisers and sponsors. The only way to reach those is by showing them a prototype and the interest of the people to have Gute Leute in their hands! That is the reason we need your help.
We also believe everybody has a story to share and if that is also your case you should definitely help us with this crowdfunding project and get in touch so we can inspire others and feature you in the next issues of the magazine!
With your help we will be able to send the first issue to print, to pay for the licenses for the website and the fonts and also the marketing material and the awesome team of people working hard to make it happen. The most important thing to remember is that if the project succeeds you will be able to enjoy the next magazine issues totally for free :-)
I am Sabela, the founder and initiator of this idea. After I've met many inspiring people in the last four years in Hamburg I thought it was a waste of inspiration not to share what other people in your own city do. I am however not alone int he project because a a bunch of people have already helped a lot: Tobi Haier and Sarah Lee (amazing designers), Lars Franzen (photographer of the cover), Theresa Grotendrost (website), Irene Broer (who takes care of the beautiful written texts) and Bianca Bartling (my crazy creative mind). For the first issue I've got also some collaborators. Special thanks to: Guillermo Ansotegui, Tereza lofciu, and Janna Jungclaus.
