Brandnew Johnny Bob Album "Creatures Of Light & Darkness"

Johnny Bob is a neo-prog band from Hamburg. They form 2017 in memory of two school bands which disband after their members graduate in the early nineties.

The brothers Jörg Purfürst (bass, keyboards, guitar) and Carsten Díaz (vocals, guitar) form the core of the band. Line-up is completed by Philip Mestwerdt (drums).

Johnny Bob release their debut album „Carnival of the Brahma-Sox“ in 2017 and ensure initial awareness. The second album „Fjodor and the Water Giant“ follows in April 2019. Johnny Bob are showered with praise from the national prog rock scene. An EP called „Hunted by a Caproid“ sees its light of day in January 2020. In September of the same year the neo-progrockers make their follow-up with third album „Egbert’s Barber Shop“.

All releases get positive reviews. German magazine “eclipsed” rates Johnny Bob in October 2019 to become one of the “big bands in the national progressive scene”.

Johnny Bob record their 4th longplayer – a double album called “Creatures Of Light & Darkness” – from winter to summer 2021. The album uses ingredients of all former releases and mix them with a more songwriter-orientated approach. Release of “Creatures Of Light & Darkness” as double-LP (vinyl only) is planned for January 2022.

This album edition is limited to 200 copies. Each of the first 100 copies is numbered and individually signed and thus a very rare collector's item.The album comes with a beautiful gatefold cover and two 180grams vinyl.

Financing the production is a supportive act, as the rest of the production costs will be funded by the band.
