Der Film schildert anhand vierer Gesprächspaare das Phänomen und die damit verbundenen skurrilen wie aufregenden Erlebnisse. Ich möchte mich mit dem Nichtvorstellbaren auseinandersetzen. Was können Bilder und deren Montage dokumentieren und wie verbildlicht man das Unsichtbare, das Akustische aber eben doch nicht hörbare? Kann ich diese voneinander entfernten Wirklichkeiten, des Zuschauers und des Stimmenhörers, annähern? Gibt es Vergleichbares im Alltag eines Nichtstimmenhörers? (30 Min)

At the end of the year I'm planning to shoot my documentary short "Hearing, Voices" (Stimmen, Hören). It will ask questions that are usually not asked, as the lack of answers to them are hard to accept. It will furthermore redefine the relation of sound and vision in a film. What can be documented by pictures and by editing them? How can the invisible be translated into images? How can the inaudible be translated into sound?

The film "Hearing, Voices" listens to the voices heard by people who hear them. Not the voices in their heads, but their own, their attempts to explain and their efforts to make others comprehend. It will try to fill the gaps of what is inaccessible for our perception and what exceeds our imagination. The selected locations make room for conversations, inevitably turning the audience into listeners in order to bring them closer to the voices.
